Most professional courses include live, interactive classes, which are recorded and made available to enrolled students. However, the professional curriculum is progressively being made available in a self-learning capacity in our Community Learning environment.

Yes. Students can start as complete beginners and progress through structured modules toward professional-level competency and certification.
No. Beginners start with Basic Astrology, which prepares them for more advanced modules. This is available in an instructor led live class and an on-line self-learning environment, or both
Yes. Advanced placement may be possible via assessment or examination. Please contact the Education Department and discuss your current level of expertise, as you may be able to sit Course exams and gain education credits to exempt you from having to complete a particular course.
Some modules are sequential and build on one another, while others can be taken independently. The Natal Astrology Courses (NAT’s) are usually followed in sequence commencing with Basic Astrology, then NAT-1, NAT-2 and so on. Specialty courses such as Horary, Electional, Vibrational, Jyotish, Medical etc can be taken independently of the NAT Module or in conjunction with it.

Yes. Tuition may include an administrative fee that supports platform costs, course management, and student services. Under the Education Programs of Community, Personal and Professional, these fees are included in your payment.
Some courses include required e-books. Others list required or recommended materials that students purchase separately. We have details of recommended books for each course you take and these are available to be purchased via Amazon book links found on our website.
Refund policies depend on the program type and timing. The Education programs are generally non-refundable on the portion of the monthly fee left to the next renewal date. Tuition-based courses follow a defined refund schedule (outlined in our Terms & Conditions).
Yes. Upgrades or downgrades are allowed, but unused portions of paid periods are generally non-refundable.
Professional and diploma-track courses typically include homework. Community & Personal Education programs, Pocket Courses, and many workshops do not.

You will receive access to the recording. Please inform your instructor in advance if possible.
Yes. Students may take a semester or longer break. Extended breaks may require a review or re-entry assessment; however, you will maintain access via the Community Learning area of all your previous in class recordings that you have attended. Members of the Professional Education Program can re-sit a particular course if required, simply by notifying the college via email and requesting to re-enrol. This is designed to enable education to be made available at a pace that works with your life changes.
Yes. All Live Instructor classes are recorded for student access. If the recording is ever not available, it has been the case from time to time when a technical issue may prevent the recording being made available.
Some community events may be public. Regular classes and professional courses are private and accessible only to enrolled students.
Yes. If you prefer not to appear in recordings, you may keep your camera and microphone off, however it is preferred for class interaction to have it on when available.
Yes. Children’s classes are handled with additional privacy safeguards and are not publicly distributed.
Yes. AstroCollege and the IAA offers community spaces for discussion, learning, and support via the Astrocollege Community and Learning environment.

There are 3 x semesters per calendar year where the Live Instructor led classes run, however the Personal and Professional Education Programs provide self-learning access 24/7 to both courses and also the 400+ video seminar, workshop and pocket course library available.
