Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct

Professional Astrology Program students are required to acknowledge and agree to the AstroCollege Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct as part of their commitment to responsible and ethical astrological practice.

Our Commitment to Ethical Astrology

At AstroCollege, we believe that technical knowledge alone does not make a great astrologer. Professional excellence is founded upon integrity, respect, compassion, confidentiality and a lifelong commitment to ethical practice.

Every student undertaking professional studies at AstroCollege is encouraged to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct in their relationships with clients, colleagues and the wider community.

The principles below form the ethical foundation upon which AstroCollege education is built.

1. Respect for Every Individual

I recognise the inherent dignity, worth and autonomy of every individual.

I will respect each client's right to make their own decisions and will never seek to impose my personal beliefs, values or opinions upon them.

My role is to inform, educate and empower, not to control or direct another person's life.

2. Client Wellbeing

The wellbeing of my clients will always take precedence over my personal interests or financial gain.

I will strive to provide consultations that encourage personal growth, self-awareness and informed decision-making while respecting the client's emotional, psychological and personal circumstances.

3. Confidentiality

I will maintain the strict confidentiality of all client information.

Personal information, birth data, consultation notes and case material will never be disclosed without permission, except where required by law.

When discussing case studies for educational purposes, I will always protect the identity and privacy of those involved.

4. Professional Integrity

I will present my qualifications, experience and services honestly and accurately.

I will not exaggerate my abilities, make misleading claims, or imply qualifications that I do not possess.

I will always represent astrology professionally and responsibly.

5. Ethical Communication

I recognise that astrology provides insight, not certainty.

I will communicate with honesty, sensitivity and compassion, avoiding fear-based predictions, absolute statements or language that may unnecessarily distress or disempower my clients.

Where uncertainty exists, I will communicate this openly and responsibly.

6. Professional Competence

I acknowledge the limits of my own knowledge and experience.

Where a client's needs extend beyond my professional competence, I will recommend that they seek assistance from appropriately qualified health, legal, financial or other professionals.

Astrology complements professional services, it does not replace them.

7. Lifelong Learning

recognise that astrology is a lifelong discipline requiring continual study, reflection and professional development.

I commit to continually improving my knowledge, refining my skills and remaining open to new research, perspectives and educational opportunities.

8. Respect for Astrology

I will uphold the integrity of astrology by practicing with professionalism, humility and respect.

I recognise that astrology has been studied for thousands of years and I will contribute positively to its ongoing development through ethical practice and responsible communication.

9. Respect for Colleagues

I will treat fellow astrologers, teachers and students with courtesy, respect and professionalism.

Healthy discussion, differing perspectives and ongoing debate are essential to the growth of astrology, and I will participate in such discussions with integrity and mutual respect.

10. Responsibility to the Public

I recognise that my words and actions contribute to the public perception of astrology.

I will communicate responsibly, advertise honestly and avoid sensationalism or practices that may bring astrology or AstroCollege into disrepute.

11. Student Conduct

As an AstroCollege student, I will contribute to a supportive learning environment by treating instructors, fellow students and community members with respect.

I will participate honestly in assessments, respect intellectual property and uphold the values of professionalism throughout my studies.
